Media Unit at Relias Honored With Multiple Awards at SIPA

Periodicals and special publications recognized for best-in-class content

Relias publications were honored with three awards at this week’s Specialized Information Publisher’s Association (SIPA) 42nd Annual Conference, held in Washington, DC. The Relias media unit, formerly known as AHC Media, received honors in three separate categories: Best Single-Topic Special Publication, Best Scientific Writing or Technical Reporting, and Best Interview or Profile of Someone in Your Industry. In the last decade, the media unit has won more than 30 awards for excellence in content creation.

SIPA, an international trade association dedicated to advancing the interests of publishers and media companies, represents thousands of professionals and nearly 150 members around the world who publish more than 3,000 digital and print publications. The awards are judged by peers in the media industry.

At the awards ceremony, SIPA honored the following Relias publications:

  • Pediatric Trauma 2018: Practical Application of the Latest Standards of Care, third-place award in the Best Single-Topic Special Publication category. Ann Dietrich, MD, FAAP, FACEP, consulting editor; Leslie Coplin, Relias editor.
  • “Tranexamic Acid in Trauma,” Emergency Medicine Reports, April 1, 2017, third-place award in the Best Scientific Writing or Technical Reporting category. Caleb Canders, MD, author; J. Stephan Stapczynski, MD, consulting editor; Shelly Morrow Mark, Relias editor.
  • “Driving C. diff to Zero? It’s Possible,” Hospital Infection Control & Prevention, December 2017, honorable mention in the Best Interview or Profile of Someone in Your Industry category. Gary Evans, Relias medical writer; Jesse Saffron, Relias editor.

Relias acquired the publishing unit, formerly known as AHC Media, in September 2016. The media division offers more than 25 digital products providing CE and CME credits for healthcare providers. Relias provides integrated solutions for the healthcare industry, including training, employee retention, and performance management. Learn more about Relias at www.relias.com.
