The Centers for Disease Control and Preven­tion (CDC) has issued infection control guidance for managing people in the health care setting and in the community who may be infected with the monkey pox virus. In a late June news briefing, a CDC official said the agency was investigating 33 cases of possible human infection with the virus in Wisconsin, Indiana, and Illinois.
