Family planning clinicians may choose one of two sites for the ninth annual Contraceptive Technology conference, scheduled for March 6-8 in San Francisco, and March 20-22 in Washington, DC.
Nationally recognized clinicians and researchers, including the authors of CTU, will be on hand to present information on such topics as medical complications of oral contraceptives, prevention of sexually transmitted diseases, heart disease in women, RU-486, emergency contraception, persistent and resistant vaginitis, and domestic abuse. Hands-on training will cover such procedures as IUD insertions, endometrial biopsies, Norplant removal and reinsertion, and thyroid evaluation.
A special preconference seminar, "Primary Care Update for Family Planning Clinicians," will be held March 5 in San Francisco and March 19 in Washington.
