Knowledge, Diversity & Partnerships in Healthcare is the title of the 1997 educational conference and exhibition sponsored by the Chicago-based American Society for Healthcare Education and Training (ASHET). The meeting is scheduled for May 3-6 at the Sheraton World Resort Orlando (FL).
For the first time, the organization is combining its two distinct membership groups health care education and training professionals with educators in consumer health to create a larger and more broad-based educational offering. "By incorporating the two programs, we have created an opportunity for education and training professionals to learn more about consumer health education and vice versa," says Linda Brooks, executive director of ASHET.
Conference fees are $495 for members and $595 for nonmembers. The nonmember price includes a one-year ASHET membership. Room rates at the Sheraton World Orlando are $93 per night for single occupancy, and rates are good three days before and after the conference.
