The Wheat Foods Council has launched a Web site on nutrition that focuses on grain foods. Sections include health and nutrition, what’s new, and frequently asked questions.
The health and nutrition site has several education resources targeting various age groups that can be printed and used for educational purposes as long as the information is not altered. For example, one resource targeting seniors explains the importance of using the Food Guide Pyramid as a diet guideline. A short quiz is included so seniors can test their nutrition knowledge. Also handy is an artwork and infographics page that depicts images of muffins and other food items that can be used as illustrations on handouts or in newsletters.
