Health & Well-Being-Menopause Web site planned
Bernardsville, NJ-based PDHI, with funding from Parke-Davis (USA), a division of Warner-Lambert Co., will launch an interactive personalized care Web site devoted exclusively to helping women better manager the emotional and physical effects of menopause.
Increases in average life expectancy mean that women will now live one-third of their lives after their reproductive years. It is estimated that there are currently more than 31 million women in the United States over the age of 55.
"We believe this partnership with Parke-Davis will help millions of women better manage the symptoms of menopause and lead healthier, more enriching lives," says Beth Cheney, APRN, WHNP, and program manager for the site, MyHRT.com, which will offer:
• MyHRT Diaries. Interactive diaries that will provide users a way of tracking symptoms and recording drug therapies, as well as other medical regimens vital to the effective management of menopause.
• MyHRT Graphs and Reports. Users will receive personalized feedback on their condition and their progress through on-line graphs and reports.
• MyHRT Personalized Education. Users will direct their questions on-line to a team of health care professionals.
• MyHRT Reference Library. The site will contain educational material including leading clinical research and peer-reviewed articles on a range of issues related to menopause.
