Here’s a quick look at Provide’s features
Multiple platform supports: Provide runs on every major hardware and operating system platform currently available. Client versions exist for Macintosh System 7.1 and 7.5; OS/2 Warp and Warp Connect; Windows 3.x, 95, and NT 3.51; AIX 4.1.3 and 4.1.4; and others.
Open architecture: The underlying database for Provide is a Lotus Notes database that is open and supported. A full suite of application programming interfaces are published and available for direct data access and updating.
Security: Lotus Notes has built-in encryption technology that Provide uses to enable almost every level of flexibility in managing client-file access both within and between agencies.
Software features: Provide sends case managers an e-mail message outlining all of the daily tasks that must be met. The system tracks the case managers’ time and logs the number of hours case managers spend on each client and each task. Provide allows case managers to refer clients to assistance programs and check for client eligibility for programs.
Cost: Provide network server license costs $900. Provide individual user license costs $900. Annual maintenance cost is 20% of software list price.
