Pregnancy definitions:
Gravida — refers to the number of pregnancies a woman has had.
• Nulligravida — one who has never been pregnant.
• Primigravida — one who has been pregnant once.
• Multigravida — one who has been pregnant two or more times.
Parity — refers to number of deliveries after 20 weeks gestation, despite outcome.
• Nullipara one who has never delivered a fetus beyond 20 weeks gestation.
• Primipara one who has delivered a fetus or fetuses beyond 20 weeks gestation.
• Multipara one who has had two or more deliveries beyond 20 weeks.
