Lots of albumin (human) 25% recalled
ZLB Behring LLC has voluntarily recalled albumin (human) 25% (Albuminar), lot numbers C934009, C934110, C805209, C805309, C934210, and C934310. This action is being taken with the knowledge of the FDA.
These lots are being recalled as a precautionary measure, the company says. One bottle of albumin (human) 25% in Japan has been found with a stopper defect that may allow product leakage. The same stopper batch as that used in Japan was used on these six lots. As of this date, there are no technical complaints or adverse events reported against any other batches.
Lots C934009 and C934110 were distributed in the United States; lots C805209 and C805309 were distributed in China, and lots C934210 and C934310 were distributed in Japan.
Direct recipients of lots C934009 and C934110 in the United States have also been contacted with additional instructions. For more information, see www.zlbbehring.com/zb/n25121pr37859717/URGENTBIOLOGICRECALL.htm.
