AAOHN: Number of Male Members Increasing

While men still represent a small percentage of the total occupational health nurse population (about 5%), their numbers relative to women have been rising in recent years, according to the Atlanta-based American Association of Occupational Health Nurses. As the table below indicates, about 10% of those nurses born between 1971 and 1980 are male, while only about 3% of those born between 1951 and 1960 are men.
