Our expert will present evidence-based recommendations to reduce boarding and overcrowding and help hospitals implement operational, cultural, and data management changes to improve patient flow.
Attendees will learn about current TJC standards that address patient flow through the emergency department. This includes measures to identify, mitigate, and manage patient flow issues and ED-throughput as part of a larger, system-wide issue. Covered standards will include safety for boarded patients and leadership communication with behavioral health providers to ensure coordinated care of patients.
Patient flow is an issue that produces major effects beyond the emergency department.
