    New Pharmacy & Medication Standards
Speaker: Sue Dill Calloway, RN, MSN, JD    Code: T1708292
    Duration: 120 min.    Format: On-Demand

Medication errors are the largest class of medical errors in healthcare today and the most common cause of unnecessary readmissions. Hospitals that spend more resources on medication errors demonstrate lower rates of adverse events.

This program will review top problematic pharmacy standards and the CMS interpretive guidelines on medication management and pharmacy related standards. Our expert will also discuss 10 of the 18 tag changes in the pharmacy sections of the Hospital CoP manual, including compounded medication, beyond-use date, and surveyors citing hospitals.

Nurses that work with patients should understand medication and pharmacy standards, such as medication errors, adverse events, drug incompatibilities, and much more. Train your staff to prevent medication errors and reduce readmissions.

How are you addressing medication errors?
