This program will outline the CMS and TJC regulations and standards related to order sets, protocols, preprinted orders, and standing orders. Our expert will discuss four sections in the Hospital CoP manual on standing orders and protocols. She will also review related tag changes – including Tag 457 – which is considered one of the most confusing tag numbers for hospitals to comprehend.
The development of protocols and standing orders is best described as a journey. The program will clarify confusions around standing orders and explain regulations so that they will be understandable for everyone in the hospital.
