Safe Injection Practices and IV Push Guidelines:
Compliance with CDC and CMS CoPs
Speaker: Sue Dill Calloway, RN, MSN, JD    Code: T1808142
    Duration: 120 min.    Format: On-Demand

CMS is placing a high priority on improving patient safety – especially on safe injection practices. The agency is checking compliance during all validation surveys, certification surveys, and re-surveys. Hospitals should educate staff, including physicians, on all safe injection standards and guidelines while regularly performing compliance checks.

This program will cover all the safe injection policies that hospitals must comply with. Our medico-legal expert will discuss ten CDC standards on safe injection practices, ISMP standards of care and guidelines on IV Push medication, the CMS infection control worksheet’s section on safe injection practices, CMS survey memos on unsafe injection practices, and more.
