During this program our Presenter discusses the definition, classification and diagnostic work up to differentiate subgroups of pulmonary hypertension with focus of pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH). Treatment options for pulmonary arterial hypertension has evolved and patients with PAH are living longer on these therapies. However, there exists a knowledge gap in current medical practice which causes delay in diagnosis which can potentially increase morbidity and mortality from PAH. With this course Dr. Shah narrows the knowledge gap and helps providers identify this disease earlier to ensure early initiation of treatment. Also covers pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) and different conditions that cause PAH. Our Presenter reviews common presenting signs/symptoms, diagnostic work up and treatment in a case based approach. Additionally discussing the role of referring providers in care of PAH patients and various options out there to effectively treat patient.
