    Toni Cesta, PhD, RN, FAAN is a founding partner of Case Management Concepts, LLC. Dr. Cesta is the author of eight books, a frequently sought-after speaker, lecturer and consultant and is considered one of the primary thought leaders in the field of Case Management. Dr. Cesta also writes a monthly column called Case Management Insider in AHC Media’s Hospital Case Management newsletter. She has been active in the research and development of Case Management for over 20 years.

     

    Beverly Cunningham, MS, RN, ACM is a founding partner of Case Management Concepts, LLC.  She has a 25-year deep working knowledge of case management with specific expertise in denials management, patient flow and the role of the Case   Manager and Social Worker in the Case Management process. She has served as a Commissioner on the Commission for Case Management   Certification and is a fellow with the Advisory Board. Bev is also the former Vice President of Resource Management at Medical City Dallas Hospital.

    Critical Care Respiratory Management of the COVID-19 Patient

    Some Healthcare providers are struggling in practice to ventilate and oxygenate patients with COVID-19. This course would aid in management of critically ill patients afflicted with this novel virus and improve their current knowledge, skill, and practice deficits. Including information to improve ventilator management, post-ventilator management, and the approach to the severely hypoxic COVID-19 patient. Additionally, our presenter will discuss the importance of PPE, risk factors for ARDS, use of Nebulizers, intubation considerations and much more.

    Dr. DiGiacomo is a board-certified Emergency Medicine physician currently living and practicing in Chicago, IL. His academic background includes an Undergraduate B.S. degree from Villanova University in Villanova, PA. Obtained his M.D. from Sidney Kimmel Medical College (Formerly Jefferson Medical College) in Philadelphia, PA. He went on to complete his Emergency Medicine residency at University of North Carolina Hospitals in Chapel Hill, NC. Also Nominated as Chief Resident during his time at UNCC. Currently practices full-time in the Emergency Department and his career spans various positions including as a Healthcare Consultant, Subject Matter Clinical Expert, and in the field of Utilization Management.
