    Dr. Daniel Migliaccio is the Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and currently their Director of the Ultrasound Fellowship in the Department of Emergency Medicine. Received the “Outstanding Achievement in Ultrasound Certificate” from the Stanford Emergency Department. Areas of interest is point of care ultrasound, the optimization of patient care and safety using cutting-edge ultrasound equipment and providing medical education.

    During this program our Presenter discusses the definition, classification and diagnostic work up to differentiate subgroups of pulmonary hypertension with focus of pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH). Treatment options for pulmonary arterial hypertension has evolved and patients with PAH are living longer on these therapies.
