This two-part webinar series will cover the CMS Emergency Department and Outpatient CoPs and proposed changes. The first part will review CoPs requirements ED staff must know: EMTALA, restraint and seclusion, grievances, fundamental protocols, staffing, provision of services both on and off-campus, standards of care, medical director, and policies and procedures.
The second part will review all hospital CoPs that affect the outpatient department. This includes recently proposed changes, documentation of a final diagnosis, RN requirements for outpatient departments, outpatient test requirements, credentialing and privileging, and director requirements.

Sue is a nurse attorney, medico-legal consultant and long-time educator for nurses, physicians, and other healthcare providers. She is a frequent speaker and is well known across the country in the areas of healthcare law, risk management, and patient safety. She has authored over 100 books and hundreds of articles.
