AHC Media Takes Three First-places & a Second in SIPAwards

AHC Media recently won four awards for excellence in niche publishing, taking three first-place honors and one for second-place.

The Specialized Information Publishers Association (SIPA) holds an annual competition to determine the best work created by its membership. AHC Media is a perennial winner in the SIPAwards.

For work published in 2014, AHC’s winners were:

Hospital Infection Control & Prevention won two SIPAwards. The monthly publication that is in its 42nd year covers the dangerous and fascinating field of understanding, isolating and controlling infectious disease. It took first place for Best Analytical Reporting for its special issue "Ebola in America" and second place for Best Education Newsletter.

Healthcare Risk Management, written for risk managers who make hospitals and clinics safer places for patients, won a first-place award, for Best Health Care/Nutrition/Fitness Interpretative or Analytical Reporting, for its coverage of Ebola in the United States.

Primary Care Reports, a peer-reviewed monograph written by physicians for physicians, took first place for Best Scientific Writing or Technical Reporting for its special issue on hyperlipidemia and its management.

The SIPAwards were given June 4 in Washington, DC, at the association’s annual conference.
