Earlier this year, CMS issued their final rule and adopted the 2012 Life Safety Code for all healthcare facilities receiving Medicare or Medicaid reimbursements. However, CMS will not begin surveying under this new rule until Nov. 1, so as to give healthcare providers more time to bring their facilities up to code. Are you prepared?
