OSHA in Your Workplace
By Dana Spector, Associate Managing Editor, AHC Media
Do you ever feel unsafe at work? Are you tired of putting up with violence in the workplace? Published in October 2015, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics 2014 survey of Occupational Injuries & Illnesses indicates that healthcare and social services tallied the most workplace injury cases and lost time among all industry sectors. Many of these incidents are caused by patient-on-healthcare worker or worker-to-worker violent acts and bullying. Inspired by these trends, OSHA has increased their national focus on healthcare and workplace violence prevention inspections and citations.
During AHC Media’s live webinar, “Violence Prevention in Healthcare: OSHA Requirements,” on Sept. 27, our expert will lead attendees through the updated OSHA Workplace Violence Prevention Guidelines and review the newly produced prevention tools available.
