Bowel Obstruction after Open and Laparoscopic Gastric Bypass Surgery
An unanticipated high incidence of bowel obstruction was found after laparoscopic gastric bypass surgery. An open approach may be a reasonable option for management of recurrent episodes of bowel obstruction after laparoscopy. -

LGB is associated with significantly lower mean hospital stay and with reduced morbidity and mortality as compared with OGB. -

LGBP vs LASGB
Although LGBP patients experienced more complications compared to LASGB patients (5.6 vs 4.3%, respectively; P < 0.56), this did not reach statistical significance. -
