Our story "New DOT fitness exams look at meds and liability," in the June 2002 issue referred to the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Medical Examination Report for Commercial Driver Fitness Determination form as new. The form actually was released November 2001. Additionally, our story stated that road tests referred to the DOT as the Skill Performance Evaluation, for people with physical disabilities were recently added. The use of road tests is part of the driver-fitness criteria, but was not recently added.
