AOHP Offers Research Scholarship
Project must focus on occupational health in the hospital
The Association of Occupational Health Professionals in Healthcare (AOHP) is seeking proposals for an original research project on current or anticipated issues in hospital-related occupational health.
The winner will receive AOHP’s Julie Schmid Research Scholarship of $2,000. She was AOHP’s first vice president, and later served as president.
“She was a dynamic individual in the field of employee occupational health,” the AOHP stated in an announcement of the scholarship. “[The award is designed] to encourage, promote, and strengthen the knowledge base and expertise of the occupational health professional in healthcare.”
Research proposals are due by July 1, 2017. The scholarship recipient must agree to present the completed project for publication in the Journal of the Association of Occupational Health Professionals in Healthcare. Completed proposals and correspondence should be addressed to the AOHP Research Committee chair and sent via email to: [email protected] with Julie Schmid Scholarship Application in the subject line.
Proposals from nonmembers also are welcome, the AOHP said.
