• Gail Wilensky, a former administrator of the Health Care Financing Administration (Baltimore), joined the board of Gentiva Health Services, (Melville, NY) Olsten Corp.’s (Melville, NY) home healthcare subsidiary. Wilensky is the John M. Olin Senior Fellow at Project HOPE, an international health foundation. She is also chairman of MedPAC.
• Invacare (Elyria, OH) named John Bingle director of investor relations. In his new position, Bingle will be responsible for developing for developing and implementing programs to improve Invacare’s visibility in the investment community and to strengthen relationships with analysts.
• Bergen Brunswig (Orange, CA) named Steve Collis, president of its ASD Specialty Healthcare and Stadtlander subsidiaries, an officer of the corporation and appointed him to the company’s office of the president. The office of the president was founded to help facilitate company interaction and support board objectives.
• Infu-Tech (Carlsdadt, NJ) named Allen Salmasi a member of its Smartmeds.com’s advisory board, which is charged with helping the company develop business-to-business opportunities related to its presence on the Internet and the potential of its Smartmeds.com Web site. Salmasi is the former president of Qualcomm’s wireless business.
• McKesson HBOC (San Francisco) named Paul Julian president of its supply management business and Gary Muensterman senior vice president of its Carrollton, TX, operations.
• Lincare Holdings (Clearwater, FL) elected Frank Byrne to its board of directors. Byrne is the president of Parkview Hospital (Ft. Wayne, IN).
• Sumner Regional Medical Center named Paula Farrell director of home health and hospice. Farrell was previously the clinical manager, reported the Tennessean.
• Winthrop-University Hospital named Anne Calvo director of patient services for the home healthcare department. Calvo was most recently a pediatric, maternal-child health clinician at the Westbury site of the North Shore-Long Island Jewish Health System, reported Newsday.
• Kelly Services (Troy, MI) appointed Richard Lueders vice president and general manager of its Kelly Human Resources Consulting Services division. In his new role, Lueders will develop and broaden the human resources consulting business for Kelly Services.
• Heller Financial (Chicago) named William Jenks executive vice president and chief information officer. Jenks was previously with the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.
