• Ovations (Minneapolis) has appointed John Ellingboe senior vice president responsible for the development of the company’s strategic and business expansion plans. Ovations is a division of UnitedHealth Group and is dedicated to serving the needs of people 50 and older. Ellingboe previously worked at NJK Holding Corp., where he led mergers and acquisitions activities. He has also held management positions at Fingerhut Companies and PMSA Management Group.
• Staff Builders (Lake Success, NY) appointed Peter Barry vice president of franchise operations and acquisitions of its division, Tender Loving Care Home Health Services. Barry joined the company in 1992 as manager for franchise development, and since 1996, he was responsible for the company’s franchising and acquisitions. His promotion is part of the company’s reorganization as it prepares to spin-off Tender Loving Care.
• Warren Falberg has been named president and chief executive of United Home Care (Cincinnati), replacing Ted Clingner. Falberg is the former president/CEO of the Jewish Hospital of Cincinnati. Falberg said he plans to restabilize the agency that has struggled under Medicare reimbursement cutbacks. His appointment comes as part of a reorganization following the Health Alliance of Greater Cincinnati’s decision to drop its home nursing services.
