Booklet on urinary tract infections
Booklet on urinary tract infections
Educates patients on common medical disorder
A new patient education booklet on urinary tract infections was recently published by the American Medical Association’s Healthcare Education Group. It was created because urinary tract infections are one of the most common disorders prompting physician visits.
The booklet, which contains information on causes, symptoms, diagnoses, and treatments was designed to supplement outpatient teaching. "The availability of accurate up-to-date patient information on this condition and its treatment will provide a helpful adjunct to physician-patient communication," says Michael J. Scotti Jr., MD, vice president for medical education of the American Medical Association.
